New Bridge on Midlands Mountain:
A different view of the new bridge on the Midlands Mountain Trail. The
original bridge was washed away during several days of heavy rain storms in
April, 2003. Forest Rangers and volunteers spend many hours repairing and
maintaining trails. For your safety, always stay on the trails!

After leaving the Midlands Mountain Trail parking lot, head towards the
top of the mountain by way of the switchback to get this view of the bridge.
You might catch a glimpse of some of the birds that hang out in this area.
Towhees, Carolina wrens, Louisiana waterthrushes and pileated woodpeckers
frequent the stream here.
